Rebecca G Rogers

Rebecca G Rogers is Director of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery and the Division of Urogynecology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, Albuquerque. In 1998, she formed a multidisciplinary group of midwives, physical therapists, physicians and nurse specialists to conduct researchinto the diagnosis and treatment of women with pelvic floor disorders. In 2004 and 2005, the group was identified by the National Association for Continence (NAFC) as the foremost continence centre in the US. The group has an active research programme, with particular emphasis on pelvic floor dysfunction following vaginal birth and sexual function in women with pelvic floor disorders. Dr Rogers has served as a reviewer for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) since 2004, and most recently has been invited to join the GRASS study group at the NIH. She is interested in research into surgical education and serves as the Education Committee Chairperson for the American Urogynecological Society (AUGS), as well as a member of the research committee of the Society of Gynecological Surgeons (SGS).
